In this one day workshop geared towards beginners and intermediate sewists alike, we’re going to cut and sew ourselves a York Pinafore by Helen’s Closet Patterns! This is a great skill building project because all of the edges of the pinafore are finished with bias tape, which you may make your own in class (which requires purchasing extra fabric) or you may buy packages of ready made bias tape to use. This pattern goes up to size 30 which can accommodate a full bust measurement of 56” and a low hip measurement
This is an Adults Workshop.
Prerequisite: This is an Advanced Beginner class. Meaning you have accomplished a few beginner projects and even a garment or two. This can be your first garment project, just be ready for some fun challenges (which are how we learn anyway!)
Skills Covered: Cutting out a pattern, following pattern instructions, finishing with bias tape (and making your own if you would like!)
57” wide fabric=2 yards (sizes 0-26) or 2 1/4 yards (sizes 26-30)
45” wide fabric= 2 yards (sizes 0-12) or 2 1/4 (sizes 14-22) or 3 yards (sizes 24-30)
