Event Details

We’re fans of eliminating as many single use plastics as possible, their negative impact on our environment is incalculable and only getting worse with time. Why not make a durable and reusable version of those things we make use of everyday? Enter- reusable food safe snack bags! During this workshop you will be able to make at least 2 snack bags in whatever sizes you like, and if time permits you can continue to make more!

We will be using Procare Foodsafe fabric for the lining of our snack bags. ProCare® is designed to create a safe, waterproof barrier for repeated laundering and can be wiped clean with sanitizer. It is certified free of lead, phthalates, BPA and many other harmful chemicals, is 100% CPSIA certified, food safe, medical grade and flammability tested. Procare is manufactured in North American textile factories that value worker safety and well being as well as being a family run company.

Prerequisite: Our Beginner Sewing Workshop or the ability to confidently thread a sewing machine. This is a Beginner Class.

1/2” of quilting cotton fabric will be more than enough to create multiple bags. Feel free to bring different prints!
