Event Details

Up next for giftable sewing projects: a insulated and quilted oven mitt! This easy beginner project will teach you a funky way to create a lined and insulated oven mitt for your home (in funky Santa Claus fabric, maybe?) or gift it to that person on your list who absolutely adores cooking.

This is an Adults Workshop.

Prerequisite: Our Intro to Sewing Workshop (or equivalent private lesson) or the ability to confidently thread and work a sewing machine. This is a Adult Beginner Class, because zippers can be tricky but are very easy with the correct guidance.

Skills Covered: Quilting layers together, lining an oven mitt.

Materials Needed:

1/2 yard Quilting Cotton for outside of mitt

1/2 yard quilting cotton for lining

1 spool of matching all purpose polyester thread.

Materials provided:  Cotton Batting and Insulbrite for insulating the mitt, all sewing machines and notions.
