Let’s make some comfy and cozy PJ pants or shorts! Join us for this weekday workshop where you will learn how to make your own pair of pajama pants following the Pattern for Pirates’ Walk the Plank PJ Pant Pattern, which is provided for you to copy during class. This pattern is a unisex pattern with both men’s and women’s sizes. Pajamas are a great beginner sewing project and first garment project. Once you make a pair for yourself you’ll want to make a pair for everyone this holiday!
This pattern comes in sizes XXS to Plus 3X, for full hip measurements that fall between 33” and 58” Please contact us if you have any questions!
Prerequisite: Our Intro to Sewing Workshop. This is a Beginner Class that anyone can handle!
Skills Covered: How to choose your size according to your body measurements, cutting out fabric, marking your pattern pieces, creating a tunnel for elastic.
Materials Provided: The [free!] Patterns for Pirates Walk the Plank PJ Pants sewing pattern and elastic.
– Flannel fabric, please see below for amounts. **Wash and dry your fabric prior to class as you would the finished garment!**
Shorts: 1 yard for sizes up to XXL
Pants: 2 1/2 yards up to XL with a 30” inseam, 2 3/4 yard for sizes up to Plus 3X
2 3/4 yards for 32” inseam up to XL
3 yards for 34”/36” inseam all sizes.
-A matching spool of all purpose polyester thread is optional but suggested.
