Camisoles are the perfect layering piece for Spring under a cardigan as well as a cute standalone top in the Summertime. The Ogden Cami by True Bias has proven to be a favorite of home sewists and it’s easy to see why! This straightforward top is a great project for beginners up for a challenge as well as advanced beginners looking to try a few different techniques. Intermediate Sewists will enjoy it’s simple, dartless construction and how fun it is sewn in different fabrics!

In this one day, 6 hour class you will cut and sew an Ogden Cami. The instructor will show you how to measure your body and help make what small fit changes they are able to prior to you sewing your garment.

Please note that the size range for the Ogden is a bust measurement (fullest part) of 32” to 44.5” and a waist of 26”-38.5” Contact us if you have any questions about sizing!

Prerequisite: Our Beginner Sewing Workshop or the ability to confidently thread and work a sewing machine. This is an Advanced Beginner Class

Skills Covered: Measuring yourself and finding your size on a sewing pattern, cutting fabric, under-stitching, half facings.

Materials Needed:

  • a lightweight, drapey garment fabric. The more drapey the fabric, the more challenging it is to sew. Crepes, Double Gauze, Cotton Lawn, Voiles, Lightweight Linens, Swiss Dot, Rayon, Viscose.**Fabric must be laundered before class**
    • 45” wide fabric: 1 3/4 yard for sizes 0-4, 2 yards sizes 6-18
    • or 54” wide Fabric: 1 1/4 yards for sizes 0-10, 2 yards sizes 12-18
  • one spool of all purpose polyester thread to match your fabric.

Materials provided: 

A copy of the Ogden Cami Pattern in your size (a $10 value), all sewing machines and notions.
