Our love of Arts and Crafts runs deep at Old Spool and we want to share that with everyone, not just kids who come in for sewing classes!
Our Little Crafternoons at Old Spool are for Parents and their children to come and explore the world of fiber arts and crafts! These workshops are meant to be very process oriented and encourage your children to play with different materials and explore different techniques that will help them with their fine motor skills. With a little direction from mom, they’ll create beautiful works of art! We are happy to have children as young as 5 years old during this workshop.
During this session we will be making embroidered wall art! Little ones ages 5+ up will be given a hoop with a wide weave and plastic needles to stitch colors and designs (just like real embroidery!) and there will be beads and buttons there to assist them in their creations. At the end of the session the instructor will help parents/guardians to finish the hoop so it can be hung up on the wall for all to see!
Event image is a similar project from the Art Bar Blog and is inspiration for this project!
All materials are provided during this workshop, as well as cookies and juice boxes to keep the creative energy flowing. We look forward to having you!
