The Ogden Cami by True Bias is a wardrobe workhorse- the perfect floaty camisole top to wear layered with a cardi in Spring or all Summer with your favorite shorts! It’s also a great first garment to tackle, learn a few standard garment sewing techniques and make a new top all in one day. Join our instructor Mandy for an all day Sunday class and sew one up yourself!
This pattern runs from a size 0-30 and accomodates bust sizes up to 57.5” and is suited for B through D cup.
This is an Advanced beginner Adult class. Ideally, you have sewn a few beginner projects but this may be your first true garment project. Also suitable for the adventurous beginner who wants to dive right into garment making!
Prerequisite: Our Intro to Sewing Workshop (or equivalent private lesson) or the ability to confidently thread and work a sewing machine.
Skills Covered: Cutting fabric, following a pattern, sewing darts, staystitching, working with garment fabrics.
Materials Needed (all registered students get 15% off in our shop!)
- 2 yards of lightweight woven garment weight fabric sizes 0-18 for B cup sewists. Shop our Garment wovens here!
- 2 1/4 yards sizes 14-18 D cup, 2 1/2 yards sizes 20-30 D cup.
- Appropriate fabrics include lightweight cottons, rayon challis, chambrays, linens.
Materials provided: Your own paper pattern copy of the Ogden Cami (an $18 value) or PDF printout for sizes 18-30, please let us know if your bust is 45” or larger) all sewing machines and tools.
