In this beginner sewing class you will become acquainted with a sewing machine, its parts and how to use it! This is the prerequisite class for all other classes.

You will learn how to thread the machine, wind the bobbin and get sewing to create a cute little drawstring bag. We’ll go over the basic lingo associated with sewing and prove that anyone can sew a straight seam. All materials are provided.

Please note all classes need at least 2 students in order to run.

Skills covered : How to thread a machine, wind a bobbin, properly cut fabric, pin, and sew straight seams with the correct seam allowance. We also use bodkins to pull the drawstring through our bags.
