A perfect project for beginners, tote bags are useful and made even more special when you make them yourself! This two part class takes place on two Monday evenings, January 14 and 21 from 6:30-8:30 where we will sew a reversible tote bag with patch pockets that's perfect for trips to the grocery store or carrying around every day!
Prerequisite: Our Beginner Sewing Workshop or the ability to confidently thread a sewing machine.
Skills Covered: the importance of sewing with even seam allowances, how to line a bag, sewing a patch pocket, sewing in the round and creating straps.
Materials Needed: 1 yard of outer fabric, 1 yard of lining fabric, both quilting cotton. *optional is a spool of all purpose polyester thread to match your fabrics.
Materials provided: Sewing machines, thread and all the notions you need.
